Strictly for dancers of all abilities….. Departing on Monday we travel to Hayling Island (near Portsmouth) and check in at Mill Rythe Holiday Village for the next 4 nights. Accommodation is in chalets and apartments (some ground floor, some accessed via stairs) and all have private bathroom, colour TV and tea/coffee facilities. Meals are taken in the dining room – just a short walk from your room. The theme for the entertainment this week is We Love Dancing – a break in which we celebrate all forms of dance and is perfect for learning new ways to trip the light fantastic. Departing on Friday morning, we travel to Folkestone & check into the Burstin Hotel. Situated on the harbourside, this large hotel is renowned for good food & entertainment. £ 289pp This trip to Scotland has it all… Departing on Monday morning, we arrive in time for tea & shortbread at The Abington Hotel. This 3* hotel is situated in the village of Abington near Biggar. Nestled in the Clyde valley, this cosy hotel has 28 well equipped bedrooms, a lounge bar and pleasant dinning room. Although there is NO lift n the hotel, they do have lots of ground floor rooms. Evening dinner is accompanied by a glass of wine and 3 drinks vouchers for use in the bar to-night. On Tuesday, after a full Scottish breakfast, we collect our packed lunches and travel through the beautiful countryside to Edinburgh, stopping en-route at the Roslyn Chapel – made famous by The Da Vinci Code film – a unique building that survived the Reformation. £ 479 pp Departing on Sunday we travel to Holyhead for the ferry to Ireland and our overnight hotel in County Meath. Trim, a designated heritage town, is renowned as one of Ireland’s most beautiful towns and our hotel overlooks the Castle. A 3 course + tea/coffee Evening Dinner is included to-night. After a hearty breakfast on Monday, we continue onto Donegal. This lovely town is situated on the west coast of Ireland. Things to do in Donegal include: The Donegal Bay Waterbus, Donegal Castle, Donegal Railway Heritage Centre and on the outskirts of town you will find the Donegal Craft Village. Our hotel for the next 4 nights is the Central Hotel. Rated 3*, it is located in the heart of Donegal Town, giving you easy access to the harbourside as well as the local shops & inns! All bedrooms have private bathroom, tea/coffee, colour TV and hairdryer. Full Irish breakfasts & 3 course evening dinners are provided on each evening of your stay. On Tuesday we explore this lovely northwest corner of Ireland with a visit to Glenveagh National Park. Wednesday sees us out and about again, this time with a visit to Sligo and Thursday is a free day to enjoy the full delights of Donegal. We depart from the hotel after breakfast on Friday and make our way back to the outskirts of Dublin for our final night. The Regency Hotel is situated on a main bus route into Dublin, so, as we aim to arrive by mid afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit the city. Departing on Thursday, we collect you from our usual departure point and take you to Birmingham Airport for the short flight to Guernsey (approx. 75 mins). On arrival you will be met by our local rep who will ensure that you are transferred to your hotel. The La Trelade Hotel is a 3* hotel in the countryside yet only a short walk to the coastal path. Gardens of English Shires £ 315pp We all love to look at magnificent gardens and dream…. Departing on Monday morning, we travel to the borders of Cheshire & Staffordshire and check into our luxurious accommodation. The De Vere Wychwood Park Hotel is rated 4* and is surrounded by a golf course overlooking the beautiful Cheshire countryside. All 108 bedrooms are decorated to a high standard and have modern facilities including TV, hairdryer & tea/coffee tray. You can relax in the hotel’s large bar before enjoying a delicious meal in the Restaurant. On Tuesday we to travel into Staffordshire to The Trentham Estate. The gardens here have recently been restored and at this time of year will be ablaze of summer colour. There will also be time to visit the shopping village – a mix of independent shops – and we will stay long enough for you to enjoy lunch in one of the cafes or restaurants. We then move on to the Wedgewood Visitor Centre and enjoy a Master Ceramic Experience, with time to explore the Museum. After a hearty breakfast on Wednesday, we visit the historic city of Chester. We begin with a guided tour of the historical city – famed for being one of the best walled cities in Britain, with its medieval buildings dating back to the 13 century. There will be free time to enjoy the city at your leisure this afternoon. On Thursday, we travel to Quarry Bank Mill, one of Britains greatest industrial heritage sites. Here we learn of the everyday lives of the mill workers – recently filmed for the TV series “The Mill” – as they toiled in the cotton mill. Then this afternoon we see life at the other end of the social scale as we visit Tatton Park and explore a Cheshire Stately home with its award winning gardens & working farm. Scarborough Seaside Special

£ 275pp A coast & country mix on this holiday… Scarborough, with its 12th century castle, claims to be the first seaside resort and has been welcoming visitors for over 350 years. Its golden beaches, harbour & beachfront cafes, Victorian buildings, narrow streets and esplanade attract visitors from far & wide. The surrounding countryside – the Yorkshire Moors – are equally famous for their natural beauty. Departing on Sunday, we travel to Scarborough and check in at The Brooklands Hotel. Rated 3*, they offer guests the best in service, food and accommodation as well panoramic views across the tree lined Esplanade Gardens and across the South Bay, towards the old town and harbour. The Brooklands has 63 en-suite bedrooms, all of which have en-suite facilities, LCD television with freeview, hairdryer, welcome trays and direct dial telephone. Their restaurant boasts a traditional real wooden floor and three beautiful bay windows overlooking the Esplanade Gardens. The hotel provides entertainment in the ballroom most evenings. On Monday we discover some of the natural beauty of the Moors as we travel to Whitby (this traditional fishing port was the inspiration for “ Dracula” but there’s nothing sinister about the town now) and after some free time we board the steam train and head for Heartbeat country (now known for its Harry Potter connections). We disembark in Goathland and continue back to Scarborough via Pickering. On Tuesday we explore the Yorkshire coast. First stop is Filey with it’s 5 mile stretch of golden beach, then along the heritage trail to Flamborough Head (walking shoes required to get the best views of the seabirds) and finally to Bridlington with free time to stroll round the harbour, beach & shops. Wednesday is a free day in Scarborough. To-night’s dinner is served a little earlier, allowing us to get to the Spa Theatre for the Summer Show Spectacular. Newcastle & Northumberland £ 279 pp Come and explore the North East corner of our isle… Departing on Sunday, we travel to Newcastle and check in to our hotel. The Caledonia Hotel is located in the heart of Jesmond, a chic and leafy area, only one mile from Newcastle city centre. This 3* hotel combines Georgian architecture with a contemporary edge having recently been refurbished. It has 91 spacious en-suite bedrooms designed with comfort in mind (most rooms benefit from the addition of a seating area and every room provides satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and ironing facilities). There is a lift to all floors. Accessing the city centre couldn't be simpler: there is a bus stop outside the hotel or it’s just 15 minutes on foot. By contrast, less than half a mile away from the hotel is Jesmond Dene, a popular park set in a picturesque wooden valley - further evidence that the hotel's location offers the best of both worlds. Our first excursion is a step back in time with a visit to Beamish Open Air Museum. This fine collection of Edwardian buildings lets you experience the every day lives of the people: the dentist, the baker, the music teacher and the places: the Co-Op shop, print works and the pub to name but a few ! You can take a tram ride or just revel in the smell of fresh bread from the bakery. On Tuesday we have a morning visit to Gateshead then we board a boat for an informative cruise along the River Tyne. This afternoon there is an optional visit to the worlds oldest railway at Tanfield. Unfortunately, the trains will not be running but you will have the opportunity to see the stock and enjoy the surrounding countryside. After another hearty breakfast on Wednesday, we make our way to Alnwick Castle & Garden. Home of the Dukes of Northumberland, the Castle offers history on a grand scale – from knights and wizards to gunpowder plotters and passionate collectors. Or if you prefer you can wander around the magnificent gardens. Just ten years ago, this site was derelict and forgotten. Today, The Alnwick Garden is an inspiring landscape with beautiful gardens, unique features - including a Treehouse and the Poison Garden - and magnificent architecture, all brought to life with water. The perfect tour for nostalgia lovers…. Departing on Friday morning, we travel to Leeds and settle into our very comfortable accommodation. The Leeds Marriott Hotel is rated 4*, is situated in a quiet location and within walking distance of the main shopping area. On Saturday we have a morning excursion to the lovely town of Harrogate, home to Farrars Toffee and Betty’s Tea Room. We return to Leeds by early afternoon giving you the opportunity to explore this vibrant city. After dinner at the hotel we travel to the City Varieties Theatre for the evening performance of “Good Old Days” – a family orientated variety show, as remembered by those young enough to watch TV in the 1970’s ! After a hearty breakfast on Sunday, we travel to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. This is the line used in the making of the film “The Railway Children” and there will be a nostalgic ride on a train to Haworth, home of the Bronte sisters. We have an exclusive welcome talk at the Parsonage museum as well as time to wander at leisure in Haworth. We leave Leeds on Monday morning and return home, arriving back by early afternoon.
