BREDA, NETHERLANDS Breda, the bustling city in the south, has much to offer. Not only does it boast countless historic monuments, such as the Great Church, Begijnhof and Breda Castle, it is also a wonderful place to shop, visit museums or enjoy great cafés and restaurants. If you want to escape the city crowds, there is also plenty of natural beauty to admire nearby. Breda is the main city of Nassau in Holland, retaining many monuments from the era. Visit the Grote Kerk or Great Church, the architectural highlight in the city centre, and climb its tower to enjoy the beautiful view of the city when the weather is good. Other cultural attractions include Breda Castle and the Begijnenhof old residential court, definitely worth a visit. In addition to these historic attractions you can also visit the museum for image culture. The MOTI (Museum of the Image) illustrates the history of extraordinary graphic designs in Holland from 1890 to the present day, displaying photographs, posters and movie sequences. Breda is also well known for its excellent shopping. The city centre boasts a broad range of shops, boutiques and bustling markets. An excellent way to explore Breda is on the water. The tour boats depart from the harbour, where you can opt for a wonderful boat tour through the canals of Breda or the lovely meadow region of Markdal.

More on Cost of Living in Breda

Numbeo.com Breda has a growing number of students and therefore accommodation in Breda can be scarce. Unfortunately, NHTV Breda has no campus or student rooms of its own and therefore NHTV has to rely on housing corporations in Breda. NHTV has arranged 40 furnished rooms with housing corporations for International students. These rooms are furnished and have fixed contract dates. Once you are admitted at NHTV, 2 months prior to the start of your programme, you will be provided with personal login details for the website of Student Rooms Breda, where you can find and select a room.
